Some of the different therapies offered at PURE:
Acupuncture
Extremely thin needles are inserted at very specific points along the so-called energy meridians. Although the existence of Chi and the meridians along which Chi travels have not been proven to exist by western medicine, the beneficial results of acupuncture have been well-documented and accepted by the modern medical establishment.
Electro-acupuncture
Consists of the application of acupuncture but with small electrical shocks. Ideal for stimulating muscles and releasing tension.
Reflexology
Each part of the foot has a direct energetic connection with a part of the body and/or internal organ. Applying acupressure (applying pressure to certain points with the fingers) on the feet can avoid or ease pain and discomfort and promote the proper functioning of the various systems of the body.
Spinal adjustments
Are applied to the spine to rectify, to strengthen and to correct mis-alignments of the spine. Our therapist will always inquire if you would like an adjustment in advance.
Cupping Therapy
Consists of using glass cups as suction devices that draw the blood towards the surface. Improves circulation. Similar to acupuncture, cupping clears the energy meridians, providing for the free flow of Chi.
